Policy

Safeguarding at Parity Education

Safeguarding is the work, not a separate workstream. Our practice is aligned with KCSIE expectations and reviewed annually by our senior leadership team.

Policy information coming soon. This page summarises our safeguarding approach. Our full safeguarding policy is being prepared for publication. In the meantime, please contact the team for current documentation.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Parity Education has a named Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and a Deputy DSL. Both are reachable to commissioners, schools and parents during working hours, and via an out-of-hours escalation route for live safeguarding concerns.

To make a safeguarding disclosure or request our policy, contact info@parityeducation.co.uk. In an emergency, always call 999. To report concerns about a child outside our provision, contact your Local Authority's MASH team or the NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.

Safer recruitment

  • · Enhanced DBS check for every tutor before first session
  • · Two professional references taken up and verified
  • · Identity check and right-to-work documentation on file
  • · In-person interview with a senior team member
  • · Trauma-informed practice training before first placement

Reporting and review

All safeguarding concerns and incidents are logged centrally. Written incident reports are issued to the commissioning party within agreed timeframes (typically within 48 hours of an incident, or sooner where escalation is required). Active cases are reviewed at regular reflective supervision sessions.

Scope of our work

Parity Education is an education provider. We do not provide therapy, clinical assessment or mental health treatment. Where a young person needs clinical support, we work alongside the relevant CAMHS, GP or specialist team and follow their lead.
