Reintegration Programmes
Structured programmes to support a young person's return to school or college.
Who it's for
Young people ready to step back into a mainstream, specialist or college setting after a period out of education.
How it works
Our Reintegration Approach runs across four phases — Stabilise, Rebuild, Bridge, Settle — with the receiving setting involved from the start. We do not rush this. Most young people move through these phases over a single academic term.
What the placement looks like
- 01
Stabilise
Predictability and trust before any reintegration conversation.
- 02
Rebuild
Academic identity restored at the young person's pace.
- 03
Bridge
Joint sessions with receiving setting. Tutor remains present.
- 04
Settle
Tapered tutor withdrawal across 4–8 weeks post return.
Outcomes we work towards
- A planned, graduated return
- Receiving staff trained on the young person's profile
- Continued tutor presence during the bridging phase
Evidence we share with commissioners
- Reintegration plan signed by all parties
- Bridging session attendance log
- Six-month sustained-return review
